I had a bit of an incident at Heia Safari a couple of weeks ago.

 

There are a couple of essentials one has to learn when riding a rigid (amongst others).

 

1) One's grip on handlebars: not too firm, but also not too loose.

2) You cant use the rebound of your front suspension to aid in lifting the front wheel.

 

as can be seen in the following video.

 

Unfortunately it POV, the lens is dirty, and the editing is crap.

 

I abandoned ship over the handlebars uncleating elegantly and landing on my feet....

wish someone was following me to give a better idea of how hilarious this was.

I'm still looking forward to going for a little swim with my bike :) it took me a year to brave the camber bridge so it's time for this one - before it gets too cold :)

One of those - it's easy if you know how things. I must take a days leave and go when it's quiet - try it without an audience ☺️
