I am sorry for your loss Meezo.

Heads up to Hubbers going through Hout Bay on their morning rides: On Friday last a cyclist called in to Cape Talk to warn cyclists. He was riding down Main Road from the Constantia Nek circle at about 05:30 when 5 bandits rushed him from behind the large bushes on the left of the road just before Hughenden road/ the graveyard. Fortunately he was travelling at pace and managed to get around them before they could cut him off. it was reported to SAPS further down the road and a vehicle was dispatched. I have heard nothing further and have not seen it reported.

Just to clear this up. I was bikejacked. The ####'s physically hit me off the bike with a stick or batten of some sorts. Once i was on the deck the cowards , one rode the bike the other ran away. I was not knocked over by a car as many assumed.

Also morning bump

Sorry to hear dude. I live quite close to Neil's Wheels. I'll go have a look there over the weekend. Also the Cash Crusaders there in Plumstead, right next to Neils.

Good time to start strength training. Wear full ballistic vest and level 4 plates. Should be good for core muscles on the long rides.

Be safe out there guys even in areas you think you know!

Meezo I live very near there as well, and I have been planning some early morning rides on my own, but now you making me think twice. I know its guys from hanover park, as a friend of mine has a business around there and most times he catches them breaking in.

From our club newsletter it's been reported that another cyclist was hijacked by 5 guys in Induland Crescent, Lansdowne as he was returning from training yesterday afternoon. Thats close to where you were jacked Meezo. Your attack doesnt seem that random now. Be safe guys.
