RRWB is by definition someone who buys baggy kit, branded baggy kit (so they look sponsored)

Have a medium to long travel bike.

Roam the Spruit.

Idolize Greg Minnaar.

Wanna be like Greg Minnaar.

Wear branded flat shoes.

 

All in all, it comes down to mega posers who live the downhill dream and have the ability to buy that image because it's a lot easier to look cool and jump in to an airbag than actually riding a tough marathon race.

 

But all that is just too much, thus the acronym.

NOOB - some who is new to cycling.

SPD - Shimano pedal Dynamics - the cause of a lot of bruises to the group above.

 

NF - Northern Farms Mtb park - place to find alot of NOOBS

VG - Van Gaalen's cheese farm Mtb park- AKA home to Rouxtjie, Swift, Karma, SeanN, JCZA (Oom), Mike Bike.

Groonies - Groenkloof Nature Reserve mtb park - giraffe encounters

 

CC - Crater Cruise Dirt roadie mtb race

Joberg2C - Mtb race from JHB to Scottborough - the boss of stage races.

DC - Double Century - some roadie thing?

 

XCO- Olympic Cross Country - the style of Mtb where you *** off for and hour and a bit

XCE- Cross Country Eliminator - the style of Mtb where you really *** off for 10 mins

XCM- Cross country Marathon - the style of Mtb where you bugger off for for 4 hours

4X - Four Cross- Down hill BMX for big people

DH - DownHill - the style of Mtb where **** can go very bad very quick.

DJ - Dirt Jump - the style of Mtb where your wheels are of the ground more than they on the ground.

AM- All Mountain - the style of Mtb where you ride all over the mountain.

FR - Free Ride - the style of Mtb when your bike gets stolen.

 

VO2 Max - Maximum Volume of oxygen - good if you ever fine yourself underwater on your Mtb

LT - Lactate threshold - how much milk you can drink after a Mtb race

Q-factor - Quack factor - this is how much like a duck you walk after your first few Mtb rides.

 

UCI - Union Cycliste Internationale - the clowns that make all the rules.

CSA- Cycling South Africa - the bigger clowns that waste our money.

Hard one for us dutchies due to pronunciation...

 

Trails...place where mountain bikers ride...

Trials...cycling discipline where you do moer difficult obstacles / crazy skills tricks without putting your foot down
