Yebo, from TWT actually, but it's basically the same company / owner (Mr Momsen). I emailed to find out which local shops would have the bike and received a reply from a rep at Two Wheels Trading.

A question to the Fat Bike enthusiasts:

How do you transport your Fat Bikes, if you don't have a bakkie or panel van? I have a Thule roof rack on my car and there's no way in Hell a Fat Bike would fit on there.

Bakkie bin or car boot at the moment.

I'm going to modify my bike rack though - was thinking of using gutter half pipes (short - about 15cm each) to replace the standard wheel cups (they simply bolt on and off so the same mechanism can be used) and then adding more substantial straps to hold the wheels in place. The standard arm and clamp mechanism for the frame works just fine.

My Krampus fits on a standard Thule Rack, but that's "only" a 3" tyre. I've seen on the overseas forums that fat bikes fit between the wheel cups and the guys use tie downs to strap them down. Also, the bikes then lean slightly outward. That way you can fit 2 bikes on a 3 bike rack.

Got some more info on the Rapid fatbike. A lbs here had some, but they sold out very quickly. The fishermen like them - to use to ride on the beach to their fishing spots. The weight - about 20kg, but apparently it pedals well on the trail and sand despite it being so heavy.

Cannot believe people are actually considering these...

...besides the fishermen...

With the Silverback around 13K and the Titans around 10K this fatbike from Rapid looks like a much cheaper alternative to 'test out the water',the weight of the bike might however make it a unpleasent experience and put you of fatbikes for ever.
