slowashell Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Yesterday, around 10am, I was travelling from Johannesburg to Bloemfontein on the R59. A cyclist in a white shirt with splashes of red on it skipped the stop street at full tilt across my path, crossing 4 lanes of traffic. He crossed the R59 into the Sasolburg area. Yesterday, I stuck to the speed limits and this guy is still alive. If I had been going 10 kms an hour or so faster............ Cyclists like this make my blood boil as they are the guys who pee off the motorists and give us all a bad name. Rant over, but blood still boiling.

I am very glad to hear that the stop street made it despite being shot, recover well you poor (mostly ignored) thing! (Stop streets are so very misunderstood, they need our support. It's spokeperson Signage Fikilelelelelikele was quoted as saying:"We will not stand for the shooting of signs, signs have been opressed and ignore for too long in this country, we will fight for a future where all signs will be obeyed and have a future in our country" his supporters broke into song and held up signs stating their support, while others were standing around displaying signs such as: "STOP", "Vanderbijlpark 10KM" and "E-toll and suck my Toll-e" Edited December 23, 2013 by GhostSixFour BarHugger, JarradVZ, Blokman and 1 other 4
