Owned both. The Giant is one amazing bike. Can't fault it in any way. The Tallboy casts a different type of spell on you when you take your first ride and every consequent one... Don't know how to explain this better, but to answer your question: Tallboy Carbon, it is better than exceptional.

The 'magic' of the Tallboy is in the VPP suspension. The difference between it and the Giant is similar to the difference between a Ferrari 458 and a BMW M3. Both are exceptional performers but there is something special about the driver involvment, feedback and general experience in the Ferrari.

had both, both are awsome.

If the giant cracks, there is a lifetime warranty on frame and the distributors honor it.

That saying If it was me dropping the cash and I could afford it, Santa cruz all the way.

No question here!!!!!!

If the 8k is not the determining factor, Santa Cruz all the way.

The SC is a boutique type bike and in anther class altogether.

So like I said, no question here, Santa Cruz!!!!

Top end bike build like planned with the XX and ZTR crest's.

Finish it off with a classy cockpit like Thomson or Ritchey back to front.

Enjoy your Santa Cruz

Anthems do crack if your a big fella(90kg +)

i have personally seen 2 crack with mates on the trail.

My riding buddies had 3 Tallboys crack between them, all on the top tube (replaced under warranty)

They have also cracked 1x Giant and 1x Momsen alu hardtails.
