  1. Does anyone know where one can get a set of P ZERO Velo 28C's?
  2. I'm selling my Boetcoins if anyone is interested..
  3. ITO helmet choice, they're both great helmets, it's a toss up between the 2. ITO 25% pricing mismatch between Bell vs Spez for these models (which should not exist), just wanted some clarity as to why..
  4. Taking old vs new stock into account and diff exchange rates (that is taken care of in the R70 vs R100 variance), it does not speak to the R950 mismatch in local vs international pricing between the 2 brands. (225 vs 230 USD Spez vs Bell). The other variable left is the local distributor pricing - this seems to be where we are getting fleeced...
  5. Hi Fellow Hubbers, Some advice/ direction on 2 potential helmets I am looking at. The Bell Zephyr MIPs and the Specialized Sworks Prevail 2. RRP Locally for the Bell is reportedly R4700 and the Sworks R3750. When researching the intrinsics of the 2 helmets, I couldn't help but notice that there was only a 5 USD difference on price point on international sites/ reviews. This with the Bell being WAY out of sync at R4700.. There should only be around a R70 (current exchange rate) R100 max (bought at historical exchange rate) difference in price, so the Bell should sit at around R3900rrp max. Any thoughts on this mismatch??
  6. Still my favorite Trail in the country - my home of MTB for sure!!! Brings a smile to my face just thinking of it...
  7. Shelldon still does servicing - He does a great job, is attentive to detail and I can vouch for him.. PM me if you need his details. Only other guy I have trusted to do a good job is Lance from Epic cycles in the Cape or CWC (certain technicians only..) Otherwise I do all my own servicing - not to offend anyone, but a lot of stores push volume and do sub-par servicing with VERY little attention to detail. I have heard this complaint in cycling circles over and over through the years.
  8. Does anyone know how much trail (worthwhile trail) is cut out by doing pofadder vs the normal route down the otherside of the mountain then onto the river? Keen to try Pofadder... anyone got a good 60km GPX to share with the best route to take?
  9. Owned both. The Giant is one amazing bike. Can't fault it in any way. The Tallboy casts a different type of spell on you when you take your first ride and every consequent one... Don't know how to explain this better, but to answer your question: Tallboy Carbon, it is better than exceptional.
  10. too much aggro here.. - too many roadies turning to MTB... But I agree - no helmet, no ride. It's selfish to those who have to clean up, to your family/ friends, to yourself.
  11. A quick one: on the comparative contact patch, is more better in sticky clay-like mud? With a 29er it feels felt like it's worse.. suction formed??
  12. Yip, some serious weather planned for us this weekend in the Cape!!! Could always re-enact day 2 of the race and hit Jonkershoek on Sunday... PSD will be too sh*t scared to join!
  13. Anyone else been suffering from PSD (Post Sani2c Depression) today? Hitting me like a ton of bricks today!!! Worse than last year!!!
  14. I am understanding this as: - Riding 2/3 abreast = playing on Avbob's stoep. - Cyclists stay safe with cars giving a 1.5m berth of them. Correct?
  15. Pls give exact area of mugging - google earth etc. I think it a good idea to build a database of where these moegoes hide and attack their victims..
  16. FOR ***** SAKES!!!!! Just when i thought these ***** have stopped their mugging antics on table mountain, another one!!! Been riding there for a year again now with no reports. We need to take our trails and landmarks back - any innovative ideas??
  17. Channel 205 *LIVE*: Tears in my Eyes!!!!! LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. This is heartbreaking!!! RIP Burry: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
