Dirt Rider very briefly and rumor has it Tumbleweed has also been seen on a road bike on occasion.

Hey! Firstly, I got given that bike! Secondly, the Keg were sponsoring my 94.7 entry! Hahahahahaha!

Actually the bike I ride most often these days is my fixie, and that's technically a road bike, although it does make detours into flowerbeds from time to time…

We all saw the guy riding with one leg. How about Sergio Paz Robaina? Here he carries his artificial arm over the finish line after it came off during the muddy stage. The Spaniard had to carry it and ride one-handed through the mire for the rest of the day.

Some nice pictures including this one found here:

Cadel Evans, Jacob Vogelsang ( winner of the Epic a few years ago),Rabon, to name a few

Not to forget the one who constantly reminds us of his MTB roots in the races - Peter Sagan.

Sad for Platt, but surprised Uber went back with him... Bulls 2 are still right in there and he could have given them some very valuable support. There are worse domestiques around!

Rooting for Buys today, I think psychologically yesterday would have been a massive day for him - beating SA's best marathon riders by a long way in a 130km stage - new territory for the XC rider!

Just hope he has recovered well from his efforts

Although he is not crossing over, Nino will be riding a race or two for Orica Green Edge this year.

Last year there were rumours that Kulhavey wanted to give road cycling a go as well.

Didn't Kulhavey come from a road background to begin with? I think I read that somewhere.

Huber is not allowed to give any support as an outcast... nada zip

I know Sauser and Kleinhans train together and are mates, but how come the latter is ruining his own potential by spending so much time helping the Spez guys win their stages?

That's their first priority as support to Songo.

Their secondary aim is to win African winner's jersey should circumstance allow that.

No support allowed, whether slip streaming or helping with technical issues. I think he should have carried on as an outcast though,
