**Not sure if this has been started already. I did look through a couple of pages but couldn't find anything. Apologies if I've doubled up**

---------------------

League and Fun Ride this weeks covering 110km and 72kms.

Who's doing what? Throwing Vissershok in nice and early should make for a fun day in the saddle.

Pre-entries for the Tour de PPA on Sunday 19 January 2014 close today, Monday 13 January 2014 at 12h00 noon. Don’t miss out and enter now on https://online.entries.co.za/entries/findperson.aspx?eid=1930

ROUTES:

Both the 110 km and 72 km routes start in Bowlers Avenue before turning right into Racecourse Road. From there cyclists climb Tiekiedraai before turning right onto the undulating Countermanskloof Road. Cyclists then head right at the Vissershok stop street to tackle the tough climb up Vissershok. After winding their way through Durbanville, cyclists turn left onto Wellington Road and onto the open roads. At the R312/Fisantekraal intersection, cyclists will turn right and climb up the drag past the Fisantekraal aerodrome.

The 72 km route will turn left at the R312/R304 intersection, while the 110 km route will continue straight along the undulating R312 to the R44. From there long route riders will turn left onto the R44 , left again at Voor-Paardeberg and left again onto the R304 before joining up with the 72 km route at the silos. All riders will head back towards Durbanville via Adderley Road, finishing near the venue on High Street.

See the route maps on http://www.pedalpower.org.za/index.php/event/tour-de-ppa-3/

Please note that the 110 km is a tough route – if you are not quite fit at this point, rather enter the 72 km.

Just Entered!

Looking forward to VissersHok (lol)

What group you starting OP?

Starting down in 'I'. End of last year wasn't the best for turning in performances and I got punted for my sins. Time to climb the ladder. Though with Vissers' this might not be the best platform to launch an epic come back.

Where are you kicking off from?

Nice profiles by the way, where do you source those?

I'm in "G" but will prob kick off with a few buddies either in H/I. So might meet up with you on Sunday.

Profiles are from MapMyRide/Ride with GPS.....I just enjoy doing them :)

Looking forward to Visserhoek, hopefully if can hang on up there it should be a fun day in the saddle!

At the first edition last year, the Vets guttered that segment to the foot of Vissers' steep section, burnt off 2/3 of the bunch before the descent back into D Ville.

It was rof.

Great course to race.

Unlike the Tour Of Philly, the South Easter will facilitate lots of suffering on the day, as forecasted.

After looking at last Sundays results I am looking forward to racing with 2 old returnees in SV who have been absent from racing for a season in 2013. Well, I say that until I get left behind on Vissers.

Looking at last years results, the times looks longer than than Argus times and it was 106km.

A mid pack group G rider finished in 3h40.

Didn't do the race last year but I remember the wind was extreme on that day, times should be a bit faster this year.
