Potential scam site warning: bicyclesupply.wozaonline.co.za

As most of you know I am the owner of Bicycle Supply Chain / Southern African Citec Agent.

This site: http://bicyclesupply.wozaonline.co.za/home has nothing to do with me and I'm fairly sure it's a scam site (hence the word "potential" in the topic title). They are using my name and registration number illegally.

I have reported them to woza and the cipc and have contacted them personally telling them to shut it down.

The format follows several other scam sites that have popped up recently. Please do not be caught by these people. In general if a site offers crazy low prices and insists on full payment before delivery your scam site spidey senses should be ringing off the hook.

Of course I have the cipc documentation to support my claim etc.

This kinda stuff boils my blood. Not only do they catch a few unsuspecting people they are trashing my business brand.

yes cant even get the number right {+ 27} 078 369 7863.

So much for RICA!

I've reported the site, perhaps others should do the same

And try and trace the money to find this scum bag.

Eldron, can I suggest we add the web address to your topic title? This way those searching via Google are likely to see this before getting caught.

I think there's no doubt it's a scam site. As you say it follows the format used by others like 'http://randombikesworld.wozaonline.co.za/' which has since been removed.

Awesome - thanks man! I appreciate the help.

Starting up a new business is hard enough without some <words that would get me banned> ruining your brand.

I'm guessing it's some kind of gang. The content and format is similar to a few other scam sites that have been mentioned on thehub.

I got hold of a woman who when asked is this was Bicycle Supply Chain ummed and ahhhed then said yes. I gave her what for but she didn't seem to phased and hung up on me.

Will tweet the hell out of it.

Careful with the line above, it might be considered "baiting"
