Starting to sound cheaper to drive down.

Flights for 2 people - R4500?

Two bikes shipped - R2500?

Total = R7000

6 tanks of petrol + tolls = R4800 (worst case scenario)

And then you still have transport in CT while you are here too!

Eina.

Ja, those buggers are sneaky. Sometimes 2 x traps before you even entered the dorp. They were hiding in culverts, under camoflage nets, on the side of the road on the "cuttings" where you can see for kilometers the cars coming down the hills ON WIDE OPEN ROADS.

Decided I'm not gonna donate one damn cent to them, therefore I took it nice and slow.

Did not even stop in Beaufort to put in petrol or buy water.

Wondering as to the real reason for this.

Has bookings been really slow (due to the overall high costs, current situation) and they want to fill their bookings ASAP.

It cant be the interest rate hike; 37.5% hike is just OTT.

Gravy train pulled into the station?

It probably takes 3 bikes to cover the fuel costs from JHB to CT and back now, then perhaps a couple more for truck and driver rental, and maybe a few more to cover insurance and space hire... Lekker by die see.

Or perhaps its all the new e-Toll costs :)

Go www.thebikemigration.co.za

R800 return per bike

truck and driver rental,

Why would they rent a truck and driver? Aren't they basically a removal company? As in with their own trucks and drivers?

You could just get a whole lot of people together, hire a bus for the weekend and hook a bike trailer on the back. Not sure on costs but if you divide it by 30 or so people it might just make sense.

If you don't want to ride this year, you could have just said that your knee was sore..... no need to write a novel.

The lengths he is going to, to get out of his bet with Fabes is pretty ridiculous...
