Several years ago, when I last did the 94.7, there was this published table that noted the landmarks along the race route and by which time you had to reach them in order to finish within your targeted time. Does anyone know if something like this exists for the new route or would still be available before the race?

In the past, they used to hand out little stickers with the waypoints and suggested times on it.Failing that, it usually features in the race brochure.

I rode the pooks hill bit not so long ago and they still hd to build the road that comes out of the estate onto the Mnandi rd, never mind complete the bridge over the Diepsloot..

Not too familiar with Riversands.

Honkdonk Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 In short. Parking and access will be a mess. Its all fields and dirt roads through that estate. If anyone ever went to Jhb Day when it was there, you will know what I am talking about.Yes, there is parking for days there BUT its the access that is the issue. William Nicol is still a mess and while Jhb Day had 18 000 Cycle Challenge has close to 30 000, so expect back ups getting in.The only other way is off Main rd into Zinnia. So there will be no park your car and take a casual ride to the start ala Woodmead. Its dirt roads and walking. If they dont finish the roads through Riversands then they will have no choice but to use William Nicol. However. It would be good if someone does a recce this weekend and gives the updates. My recommendation would be park somewhere in Fourways and ride through.
