Cycle Science in Broadacres Sells Fake Pinarello

Recommended Posts

"Just saying!" You say ?

Just saying you no next to nothing about bicycles or the pricing of top end rides.

"Whats (there should be an apostrophe in there) a new Dogma retail for??" You ask.

Well, that is an ignorant question. It is like asking what a 3 Series BMW sells for. M3 or 320?

320 Basic, or with all the options ?

The question should read "what is the frame built up with, and what wheels are on it?" And then only ask what it may retail for.

So a Dogma with Record would be much cheaper than the same frame with Super Record. A super record bike with DT swiss wheels, much cheaper than a record equiped bike with Lightweight wheels. Both would be more expensive if built with Enve build kit.

See how meaningless your question is?

So Master Yoda gives grammar lessons too... Nice!

On the topic of safety... My GT Mountain bike frame has a crack in it, at the seat post. I know of this, and the bike is especially fine now. In fact, the crack made it better. HUH??? So although there is on sight self a finer weave on the outside, it may be for finishing purposes. You have to cut the frame up for closer inspection. Perhaps even a stress test.

With that said, maybe some people just need to grow a pair. How do you expect to buy a 160k bike at under 100k?!? If there is smoke, there is a fire. This has been dealt with

Paying 90k for fake everything... Well, see that as punishment for trying to pull a very obvious fast one!

I'm guessing your frame is out of warranty, or you don't have the dosh to pony up for a replacement.

Fake everything? Have you bothered to read the thread? The Groupo was legit, all 40k of it.

If you've never been taken by a scammer, good for you. If you do get diddled in future though, don't expect any sympathy by posting it here. This thread is about education as much as it about fraud and deception. Your attitude stinks.

John: “Some people want a look-alike.”

Robbie Gallinetti (Owner: Cycle Science): “Some people want a look-alike, but can’t afford to pay the price.”

What he meant to say was that some people "want their fake and eat it" ;)

@RooiWillie:is jy 'n bietjie verveeld? Daar is nog baie ander forums - lees hulle en maak sinvolle bydraes. As jou raam beter is met 'n kraak in wonder ek wat vir jou kop sal help.

lol, the "HUH???" is actually apt. I think it is all in the mind. But base on my times of late and the fun I'm having... Much better! ^_^

1. GT Has life time Warranties on their frames.

2. 130 Pages was a little rough to catch up.

3. This is the hub, sympathy is not to be given here... For anybody, by anybody, to anybody.

4. Education, now you know the GT has a lifetime warrantee

Ekt n bell en n Rudy Project... Hulle help goed dankie.

My sinvolle bydrae, seker niks vir jou nie, maar word groot, en wees net bedag, as iets nie reg lyk nie, is dit heel moontlik nie.

Please can you let me know how you cracked your frame? I would like to make my bike a little faster too.

It's not faster... Just "better"

But to humor you... Towed a 47kg trailer for charity on the 94.7. Bad idea (or maybe not) to fix it to the seat post.

1&4. Are you the first owner? My GT only has a 5 year warranty AFAIK

  1. The warranty doesn't cover towing a 47kg trailer affixed to the seatpost, even for "charity"
  2. Are you slow?
  3. This is the hub, not Stalingrad
  4. Education, now you know your frame warranty is useless

I see your problem... You should have fixed it to the handle bars...

Or, as I would have done, fixed it to someone else's bike.
