I can't see the video but in the early 90's I did a trip from PE to CT on the N2 and somewhere around swellendam area I caught a truck and managed to slip it for at least 10km at between 70 and 80km/h. When I think of it now I was pretty stupid as I had to sit behind it to be pulled along and I couldn't see the road. The things we did in our youth

Impressive.

My wife asked, pleaded, cried and threatened - and I kept on doing it.

Then one day she did it (successfully) before my eyes on our ride before I could stop her. I (we) never did it again.

I love that there are people dumb enough to do things like this. Not only do they show us what can be done, but every so often they show us what happens when things go wrong.

Give that man a Bells!

I think most of us have done this at some stage or another.

Used to do it loads when I was a school boy until a guy we used to race with, Warren Reed (If memory serves me right), hit the back of a truck and opened the top of his head like a lid. He survived thankfully, but I stopped doing that. Its a rush, but extremely dangerous as the truck driver probably didn't even know you were there.

I've done it once. On a bit of road I knew extremely well... a trucker came by slowly and shouted at me to follow him... I accepted the challenge...

About 10km at around 70km/h

It was fun, but still stupid of me

We get wiser as we get older and then think about potholes and junk in the road but what's with no gloves ?

I slipped a mobile crane the last time down Lynnwood road, had to give up at 70 when it started to spray oil out, what a mess it made of my bike so I won't do it anymore.

Looks like a lot of fun, but I know first hand, that if that truck picks up a stone, and you are a bit on the slow side.... You will be so sorry that you drafted.
