sounds like rules someone organizing cycling/XC races will make... where has that sleeveless post gone to?

I personally feel all Lycra should be banned

It's the same at the one in umhlanga. Was there one evening for dinner with the wife and kids and asked me to remove my cap. Even though I was in baggies and a T shirt.

Joh, they should serve the middle one in the skinsuit whatever she asks for, on the house, with a huge smile, and say thank you, because she will draw the crowds into their shop and make them rich. :)

Just book a table for 50...... make sure they know you are on the way but running a bit late.... maybe a day or 2...

Book a table for 50, phone them just before the booking to say you are a group of cyclists butt realize there is a dress code so cannot keep the reservation.

or

take a backpack with smart casual clothing in it. When they say cyclists are not allowed, put on your other clothes over your cycling stuff...be sure NOT to wear deo.

Same rules in Umhlanga. There they have a dedicated seating area for cyclists where you feel like you have some sort of disease and have to be separated from the more 'upmarket' customers. This is the reason we ride from Oscars in Hillcrest where you are welcomed with open arms.

they have the right, but it is your right to say stuffem and spend your money elsewhere!

Agree.

@OP, shot for the heads up. I'll be sure to avoid this place even if I'm not on my bike.

Chat to him about allowing cyclist getting breaki and coffee in the mornings. They can't be that busy before 11am

why would you even want to bother with people with such attitude towards cyclist...

spend your money elsewhere

Not sure why this is a big thing, it's not like we should feel entitled to walk into any restaurant covered in blood, mud and sweat and expect to be welcomed with open arms. Some places have a cycling culture, just support those. It hardly warrants a protest of any sort.
