Have you SEEN what a decent pair of rugby boots costs these days?

I am wearing mine to the next restaurant I visit... :whistling:

And therein lies the issue ... style isn't measured in Rands and cents.

I made a mayor's necklace from all my race medals....wear it to work on mondays

I hope you INSIST that your colleagues address you as, "THE HONOURABLE ROUXTJIE" or "HIS EXCELLENCY ROUXTJIE" or, simply, "YOUR WORSHIP"

I've never heard of this.

Strange.

They do however reserve the right to turn anyone away.

That is their right, but it's really stupid. Hopefully, the next owners will be more friendly.

This establishment does have beautiful decorations, especially with the old school Vespas an-all and gives you the feeling of decadents if you walk in. Sadly that's where it stops. Service and food

Stunning place, super expensive.

Incredible paraphernalia and good food.

Very sexy hostesses.

I can't see why they can't use the outside table for cyclists, but then again I can't see why cyclists would want to stop at such an upmarket expensive restaurant after a ride .

The place has snobbism and image written all over it.

I won't be back too soon, my pockets aren't deep enough.

This is the bakery area, all the stuff in there including the imported drinks must be laced with gold.

i wish i had a business where i can pick and choose my customer base

I took a good look at all the stuff there.

Lambretta scooters on display, photos from they heydays of racing in S.A. and some awesome boxing parephernalia .

I get a feeling the owner is very well connected .

I would love to own that place.

The best I have ever seen.

must be a management thing.

The one at the V&A was completely open to all riders on the day of the argus *lite* and in chatting to a few people they dont mind cyclists at all during the day as well. Only evenings they get a bit iffy on the dress code

If that was me I would start to take the kit off...see how they like that.

Whilst at Varsity we used to got to stay in the very dodge Esplanade hotel in East London when down for the annual Buffalo rowing regatta.

With delusions of grandeur their dress code required "Jacket and Tie" to be worn at dinner.

So that is what we wore........

in my experience that attitude towards customers will filter through to staff who also think they can pick and choose and treat customers according to managements *** example,,,

unless they serving something totally unique and specific to that spot IT WILL NOT LAST and even then why loose so much revenue for something as stoopid as clothes

i wear shorts everyday summer winter, if i cant wear shorts that means i dont go in, i know its not the same, but imagine if every spot had a no short policy, its not like that place is in a 5 star hotel ffs
