Guest EdEdEd Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) None. I have Norman genes (pre-french) in my family, on both patriarchal lines. And wherever my grandmother's family came from, who were of Austrian origin. My fathers father is a Brit, His wife is a German, my mothers father is a German (jewish one) and his wife is from Dutch decent...Edit: so i dont take offence to being refered to as dutchman... Joeboy69 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Ek is Afrikaans maar my vrou is english speaking. English only allowed at work. So ek praat net Afrikaans met my honde of op party forums :-)
fanievb Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 But the real question is, how many Afrikaners in this poll can "langarm"? Anybody can braai, eat stywe pap, drink brandy en coke, or have ancestry from Jan van Riebeek. Ek vra maar net ... I'm the youngest cousin in the family so all the anties wanted to skoffel and that's how I learnt. To this day I can't keep my feet still when I hear a Klipwerf tune
