None. I have Norman genes (pre-french) in my family, on both patriarchal lines. And wherever my grandmother's family came from, who were of Austrian origin.

 

My fathers father is a Brit, His wife is a German, my mothers father is a German (jewish one) and his wife is from Dutch decent...

Edit: so i dont take offence to being refered to as dutchman...

Ek is Afrikaans maar my vrou is english speaking. English only allowed at work.

 

So ek praat net Afrikaans met my honde of op party forums :-)

But the real question is, how many Afrikaners in this poll can "langarm"? Anybody can braai, eat stywe pap, drink brandy en coke, or have ancestry from Jan van Riebeek. Ek vra maar net ... :whistling:

 

I'm the youngest cousin in the family so all the anties wanted to skoffel and that's how I learnt.

Been there, Komga show, Gonubie X-mas fair, Gonubie Round Table fest, Grens High School "boeremusiek gulde", Boeretroos theatre.
