That is such a beautiful area! I'd love to come though there on the bike again and someday take my family through there aswell. 👌

My son has his Birthday on Tuesday so yesterday we held a small party for him at an old disused bmx track outside town.

I had to take the smaller kids around the track.

Sounds like an open invitation, so I thought I would check it out and see how long a drive it will be for a cup of coffee from my house.

Had an hour free this morning, so decided to pick a direction and see where I end up .... ended up taking a spin along Tafelberg road past the cable car station to where they have cordoned off the road. Flip it was busy here, I imagine being Easter holiday and the 2 Oceans there were tons of people who looked like tourists.

What an amazing day to be on a bike.

Hairy, I know you don't live in the area but if you can, try to get up there early one morning. The lighting and silence are superb. Apart, that is, from the sounds of the city below waking up. Take coffee..

I know it very well, we used to cycle up on the mountain before work every Wednesday morning .... the mountain is really a special place early morning.

My brother in law recently bought this. It’s surprising comfortable in the side car.

Yes Ural, not sure where he got it from. I'm pretty sure its a restore as the lights are modern and everything is pristine.

You can make a trip of this. You can ride there on day one via N2 and camp at Bennie's place, day two explore Hoekwil/Wilderness/Knysna area and visit Spokey, day three return via Outeniqua Pass to Oudshoorn and back via Route 62. Can stop off at either Ronnie's Sex Shop or Diesel & Cream in Barrydale for lunch on the return.
