Morning Fellow Bike Enthusiasts. I am thinking to move my big KTM1190R on and the replacement would be a road bike. Both very tasty. Both reasonably desirable in certain circles. I am a big fan of the LC8 engine as some of you may know (have an 1190 S Adventure ) but also a fan of the 916/748 as a collectable.

I welcome any input in this as unfortunately the time has come that my collection is now one out before one in…….though I did recently off load a DT125 and FS50.

I know someone who has a TRX850 that hardly gets used and would love it to go to home where it's restored back to original Red and White.......he might be able to be convinced to sell it.......

Ship it to me, I’ll make sure it gets a proper restoration job.Β

A friend who has a yellow 748 says he'd take the RC8 all day long.Β  He says the 748 is heavy, slow steering and under powered...

Yes to all of the above but it is the most gorgeous motorcycle ever designed and manufactured.Β

This is why it is high on my list, plus it Β would be super alongside the 749 Dark Edition and the red 1098.

Beautiful bike, a little different. Alas I do not spend enough time at home to attempt restorations.Β

That RC 8 is something cool. Neither bike would be ridden much, especially the small yellow one. I imagine that orange one would be a blast!

I went and did it…….RC8 will be delivered from Josie this week. I was lucky enough to see it when I came home from Dubai for my time off. Bike is in fine condition. My Boet lives in Josie snd I trust his eye to check out bikes I buy online. I think this one is β€œright”.

Not much to say on my side, just the usual run around.

You have patience……….I think I would collect the bike and make another plan….I read you posts each time hoping for a positive outcome but those excuses are just crap. One might have bad **** in ones life but one still has to get on and see a job through. If unable, make a plan for the client. Β Perhaps I am wrong.

Oh boy. I've been off this forum for too long and have just caught up. Firstly, Hairy, so sorry to read of all the stuff you're being subjected to. Not sure what your options are but I hope it works out. I enjoy the encouragement and wishes from all who have contributed. Makes it a proper community. Andyman and Spokey, man your collections are looking good and Spokey that pic of the ZZR on the pass and the 690 road trip look great. And finally, I'm riding up to Plett on Thursday and plan to overnight in George or Wilderness. And recommendations?Β

All depends on the budget... A friends wife runs this place in Wilderness:

Ray is a proper car nut, will talk to you for hours about Cord's, Corvette's and Chevy's!
