has anyone tried it? i don't drink at all but having asked around I'm getting the impression that a wine that is a week old when it goes in the bottle isn't going to be terribly nice. i was really hoping that it would be grape juice so i could drink it.

 

before i decide who to pass it on to, i was wondering if anyone has opened theirs? either i give it to someone i like or someone i don't see...

We rode over grapes in the prologue and after you got your finishers medal u got a bottle of wine 'pressed by bikes'

Remember going through this release from CE ...

 

“We picked them late last night so that they were nice and cold,” explained Meerendal cellar master Liza Goodwin. “Afterwards we’ll let them ferment for two days and we’ll bottle the wine on Wednesday.”

This would require a process to stop the fermentation on Tuesday and the addition of some “normal mix” to make the wine less sweet – the short fermentation period would produce a “sweetish red”.

It normally takes a day or 2 before the juice starts fermenting. They basically stopped fermentation by probably adding some preservative or some other way. Effectively they just added a small bit of juice to lower cost bulk wine and stuffed that into a bottle. That is what I call anyway thinking of the timespan they had

That might explain why the label says 2012 on the back and 2014 on the front....
