I've got R500K burning a hole in my bank account. I think you should take it and use the R200K as a buffer, for the lean months of course.

Guys I was well aware that this would turn out as Falco said, never the less move on...

Banks only consider loans based on at least a year of trading.

No they dont, I know of lots of small businesses that got off the ground with bank financing.

As asked, what were you realistically hoping to achieve here??, let's put sarcasm and baiting aside what was your expectations???

Dipslick,

I read a post a few weeks back on TheHub, There are a quite a few guys who are really interested in this or something similar. Except for all the singleminded guys on the site, there are some lekker decent oaks who actually might think about this.

Take it like this if you are an avid cyclist really making a jol of it. Why not get your fingers in the pie? This is a simple matter I brought up. Guys who are interested can inbox me.

If you looking for a "bridging loan" I know a company that operates a collective investment scheme specialising in investing in bridging loans that might be able to help you out. pm me for details if you need.

It seems more like a loan than an investment, and frankly if you are so stretched that you need to borrow all to buy the stock what realistic after sales will you be able to provide? Why cant the suppliers provide vendor finance or stuff on consignment? Or dont you have some personal assets to give as collateral to a bank?

Jeez what a coincidence...

I'm getting married and that's exactly the amount I need. Don't have a business plan though.

Married? Any hefty deposit results in kids. There's no return on that investment. They are liabilities.

Oh I dont know about that, its my ambition in life to live long enough to become an expensive time consuming burden to my kids. Payback time!

What is "this" you are asking people to be interested in? You want them to be excited in this mystery, and when they have a little lol at this you call them single-minded.... If you need to give R300k to a "thing" to be a 'decent oak" as per your post above, you cannot be a decent oak by your own definition... where is your R300k. If I give R100k am I only an "ok" oak? What if I have massive low self esteem, can I give R500k and be called a "super duper oak?"

Perhaps you are corrected, I am not open-minded to give my cash to strangers with strange ideas, as I am single-minded in success. I am more inclined put R300k on red, as at least I know I am getting a 50/50.

To be fair, I think the OP used his first post as bait for people to approach him who would be interested.

I am sure he received more than just our banter, but some PMs from interested parties.

If he came out straight (not like that so save the comments) and admitted to importing brand X he would either get all or no attention.

We just had our fun with it.
