I am stealing these off someones twitter account but how is this reply from Michelle Cound. I am convinced she does more harm than good for Chris. On another forum there is not 1 good thing to be said about her and the way she goes on and handles herself.

Inhaling a xenon/oxygen mixture activates production of the transcription factor HIF-1-alpha, which leads to increased production of erythropoietin. The latter hormone is known to increase red blood cell production and athletes' performance. Xenon inhalation has been used for this purpose in Russia since at least 2004.[147]

And apparently a dry cough is just one of the side effects.

I have noticed Froome is always coughing after each stage. Mmmmm?

A lot of the elite men and ladies riders in SA use inhalers during races, if your doctor gives you the right documentation to prove you need it they can not ban you as you need it medically

That is the grey area....

No its not a grey area, its called "exercise induced asthma"

Exactly! I could not remember the condition, but in a lot of cases the person has not visited a sport physician who will test their lung function properly and this is a quick fix. I know as my fiance struggled with this and she was properly tested and the sport physician told her this. Many people don't use their lungs properly or fully during exercise and what is perceived as an asthma attack occurs. She got some exercises to do and her problem is sorted and she actually received a natural performance boost with her lung function being improved.

"Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction can be difficult to diagnose clinically given the lack of specific symptoms and frequent misinterpretation as manifestations of vigorous exercise"

Sounds pretty grey to me

A fast and flat finish, today’s stage says bunch sprint in every language. But the race has a shortage of sprinters and sprint trains. Could Chris Froome go for a third stage win in a row? Just joking.

There is still an upper limit of the substance that can be reached in your bloodstream, for testing. Pettachi got a ban for testing over this limit.
