true but when your mates come out of winter stronger than when they went in then you gota join us

i can also see this online racing going throughout winter and through summer too as the family guy/girl who may only get home at 6pm but still wishes to go and train, knowing you have a bunch of mates waiting online for you just pushes you that bit hard, and yes even forces you to do some secret training between races. yes i admit to doing some secret training in prep for the next online race :whistling:

Ok so I joined the race for Tuesday evening. Should I download the route before the race or do I just go to the online racing icon and click on the "live racing" icon to the right of the race come Tuesday evening?

DIPS the route by Rouxtjie will download very quickly. It is nicer to download big rides beforehand. Everybody wants to do Alp D'Huez so do that for a start? Also get some music into the musicplayer so that you can use lekka loud stuff in earphones during the ride. Dave and the clan will also put several rides on your harddrive if you ask nicely....

Roll on Tuesday night Hub Cup!!!

What Talus said...the hubcup race on Tuesday will be very small...less than 1MB to download since there is no video for that route...I tried to make the first one simple ito data consumption for everyone(I see there is 9 people already registered...whooop) so that first time okes don't make the same mistake I did ito streaming toggle.

Then the only data you will use is once we are in the race and google earth view. Like Dave said previously we are looking at about 50mb for 1 hours worth of racing. That will then incl all metric data sent and received as well as google earth view refreshing as you ride.

Ok I did my first proper mini course ride last night, the Morgan Hill Spring Triathlon that Rouxtjie owns. It's tough to know that downhill coming up is not going to give you some rest.

I have done a full statistical analysis of my ride data and the results are:

@Showtime...ok quickly checked your ride....tough little course that if your praaap the whole way.

Oh here is another thing I picked up in my VR trainings guys...So before you start a VR course you have the option to either race it or train it. If you leave it on train, your result, no matter how fast you went wont be posted on the VR leaderboard. Always put it on race. Then you can also choose a VR partner from the list of okes that have completed it and it will download their data with the elevation...Nice if you want to target a specific time or even better your old time

Thanks, was wondering what that toggle does

:offtopic: but serious.

When I look at the data my heart rate is much higher than other people. I average about 170bpm while most people seem to average around 150bpm.

Should I have my heart checked out?

I also wondered why my first couple of passes through routes never listed me on the leadersboard. Then I realized what the race toggle does. Always just klap it on race....then it will put your time in the mix.
