Doing the race event. How much training has everyone been doing? Trying to do around 850km - 900km a month since January.

Doing my first and been trying to get in 100-150kms a week since Jan. I'll be very happy to average 15-16km/h and take in the sights. Doing the adventure not the race so will be there for an adventure NOT a race! Butterflies already but can't wait.

Doing the race but do not want to race. Just once would like to not feel dead after day two  :excl:  That is one TOUGH day! Sitting on 3300km training since mid Jan (no EPIC as base). Having that in the legs will help you big time! I need the training as I am heavy (90Kg+)

My 1st Sani2c & super excited.

My stats since Jan: 2250km with 33640 meter ascent. Quality over quantity :whistling:

Only found out 3 weeks ago that I am doing the Race  ...

Doing the race..

Looking at hours done rather than KM

Average is about 10 hours a week for the last 10 weeks

Would have rather gone for the Adventure though

I've heard some hectic stories of people losing stuff and having to ride in their skivvies Pusher. Recommend you carry everything with you while you ride . . . .

;-)

You want to be my pack horse?

Only got an entry for the adventure last week. Needless to say "taper" period has turned into an "exam cramming" session of note.

How much training are you guys still doing this weekend and next week?

Will try to get three rides in this weekend, all 80km+

Then one or two easy rides in the last week

This will be my fourth stage race (second Sani) and I can't ever recall hearing someone say that stuff went missing.

I really don't think there's a concern about locking the boxes.
