You can't redo classic series.. you can maybe do a continuation if you have really run out of ideas for shows..but not redo the damn thing..those shows didn't work because of the storylines but because of the cast..swiss army knife, helicopter car etc also counts as part of the cast [emoji23]

Next they will probably redo M*A*S*H..or Cheers.

although I agree with you, the A-Team movie was quite enjoyable, but we all know the originals will never be beaten!!!

One that was sort of ok, was the A-Team movie. But I think it worked because they didnt do that whole "it must now be dark and realistic" ***, they kept it stupid and fun.

i posted my response before seeing yours. I agree! A-Team was lekker, I specially enjoyed the scene where they drive the Humvee through the wall in the entire patient ward goes ape, haha. and of course Jessica Biel is seriously hot!

VIC 21. Played it via the TV

i cannot remember what my friend's parents had, it was something like a IBM486 or something. this is going back to 1992/1993 - I was 13. we preferred playing cricket in the yard in stead of sitting behind that stupid thing all day. oh how times have changed...

fixed it for you

The originals were crap, probably half the reason the remakes are crap as well. It's just that in the 80's we didn't know better so we thought it was awesome.

Just try sitting through 10 minutes of an old A-Team episode, once the nostalgia wears off.... Best to just rely on memories and not spoil it by watching them again.

Same goes for most computer games we played in the 80's & 90's

haha, yes you are correct wrt "one's perception". its that nostalgic feeling you get when you recall sitting high up in a tree mimmicking Stringfellow Hawke flying the sh!t out of Airwolf.

I actually downloaded the entire boquet of Airwolf, and its funny how we were fooled by the same flight sequences etc, but it sure didn't matter at the time! haha

has anyone mentioned their first experience with a computer? jeeziz you had a modern machine if your monitor had 4 colours. im sure we will need an entire section just on this topic, haha

Had my first experience with a computer at school. Black screen, yellow text and graphics. There was a helicopter game we used to play in computer class, fun times.

I remember in junior school. Our school was sponsored some apple computers. Bearing in mind this was 1986. It had this program that you could enter values and it would display different coloured lines all over the screen in a pattern depending on what you entered. I think they would have been an apple II

Used to jam some Kung Fu game on a mates C64 back in the day, and used to watch another mate play Leisure Suit Larry on his dads computer, we were both 11 at the time - also, black screen and yellow graphics.

Leisure Suit Larry - first game I saw where your character could travel to a whole lot of different places and do different things - was completely blown away by the idea. Most of the adult humour was completely lost on my innocent 10 year old mind, could never understand why my parents didn't like me playing that game.

Space Quest series my fav, humour was brilliant, played it all again a year or 2 ago

I enjoyed the Space Quest series as well. A mates older brother had either Space Quest 1 or 2 on his 286. I thought those EGA graphics were the bomb back then, and then I saw a few Space Quest titles on the same mates other older brother's PC, which was a 486, and at the time, I thought those VGA graphics were the best thing since sliced bread. Test Drive, Wing Commander, Day of the Tentacle, Willy Beamish, Kings Quest, Quest for Glory (Quest for Glory 3 was my favourite in that series) - all on my mates older brother's 486.

The Monkey Island series was also a favourite of mine. I downloaded ScummVM just for Monkey Island 1 and 2.

kung fu master ?

Could have been that, although I had Kung Fu master on Famicom. I think it was more of a karate game on my mates C64. Edited by WeekendWarrior80
