My bibs get washed in the washing machine with all my other clothes.

I have never treated any of my cycling kit with special soaps or anything like that.

Cold wash, hang up to dry. I have never had any hassles and like I said, my Giordana's are over 3 years old and I have done 2 sani2c's in them.

I'm worried now... I've just always put them in the wash, straight after getting ion the door, on cold, 35 minute speedy wash and a little super natural, organic, kiddies wash stuff. No spin. Hang them up. Done.

Assos, Castelli, Girodana, Craft all the same and sometimes even in the same load together. I'm surprised I haven't been struck down by the cycling gods for my blatant heresy.

I do the same .No bag ext .My 2 pairs of First Ascent have lasted by far the best

Judging by the positive response Giordana got here, this thread clearly did go as planned... oops. As per the Hub norm of responsibility shifting, we don't follow the washing instructions and then DEMAND we get treated as if we did. If you buy premium kit, treat it as such, Premium usually means lighter, faster etc. Not more robust. My brand new Zipp303s didn't even last ONE DAY on the Cape Epic!! WTF shocking I tell you!!!

Assos Uno R1500... Mine has lasted 2 years and it looks new!!

OK, LAST TIME I LOOKED they were a lot steeper than Giordana, so i never looked, my riding partner swears by them

I had Capestorm and First Ascent bibs for years and I ride 5/6 times a week. They last, but not comfortable. They are okay up to 2hrs ride. I also had Giodana bib and it is most comfortable than 2 of them, but it does not last.. Strange! I would love to buy Assos oneday, but can't afford it...

I have been using Giordana for years and never had any issues. Many rides in excess of 5 hours!

However, they have become somewhat pricey so I am in the process of trying Anatomic bibs.

My Giordana's lasted about 2 years before they became patchy in places, although I admit that they didn't get any special treatment in the wash. So quite a lot of use, no complaints about that.

With my Assos ~ much better chamois imo ~ they do get washed in the bag etc, but one pair is showing signs of significant wear on the inside leg (I'm assuming from rubbing on the edge of the saddle). That pair is about 18 months old now.

Either way, both excellent quality products, I will have no hesitation buying either again, but will pay a slight premium for Assos simply because my butt likes them.

Nothing lasts forever.

I've been riding with Giordana ladies shorts for the past 3 years and have never had a problem. I have just bought the latest laser shorts and can say that they are far better quality than anything available at the same price. It is quite apparent that care and washing instructions were not followed.

Hi Lee,

Firstly I would like to thank you for posting a picture of the proof of purchase as until today we were yet to receive it! Secondly, as discussed with you on the phone last week, a warranty is for factory/manufacture fault which in this case is not! I looked at the shorts myself with a staff member that gave them to me and we both agreed that it was not a warranty. The shorts were photographed and sent to our warranty dept which also agreed that this was not a warranty. In regard to our customer service... I offered you a pair at half price but you refused to accept this!

You can offer me a pair at half price  .......... I think, as said earlier, that by the over all positive feedback Giordana has received on this thread, that clearly your product is good.

Hahahaha! Maybe we should have a special! Send an old pair in and get a discount on a new pair!
