So when you choose a beer it's not based on I'm a healthy cyclist therefore.. I'm going to drink healthy.... It's like damn I've earned some well deserved beer credits and i'm going to drink the good stuff. A recent study in the states has shown a 30% decline in sales of LITE beers with a 20% year on year growth in Craft.

For me a good beer after a great ride is what life is all about. Everything in moderation of course unless it's climbing in which case I'm downhill all the way to the pub.

Give this man a B... CBC Amber Weiss!!!

And now they are making Amstel Lite.

Who ever saw that oom at Gilroys down two pints during his speeches. He certainly enjoys his career and product.

Dear Beer Drinkers,

Has anyone tried the new Castle Chocolate Milk Stout? The name kinda appeals to me...

I tried my local bottle store yesterday but they hadn't received their stock yet so I ended up buying a case of Bavaria Alcohol Free Apple beers for R100 (buy one 6 pack get one free!). Now I like Bavaria and all but that felt a bit like going to the Guinness factory and only drinking the tap water.

Tried it don't like it.

Tastes very artificial and nothing like a stout. Also very carbonated, too much bubbles to my liking

Once went to a feastival and Mr Gillroy and a colleage were there selling and serving beer. I think they were more wasted then the customers! Dont think they made any profit that day.

As a note, its the craft beer feastival at Monte Casino tomorrow from 11:30.

If you see a guy there with a blue cycle shirt say cheers. A friend wants me to go but I do not know if my wife will travel alone with the baby. And if I cycle home the moment would have passed.

I kinda use him as a mental deterrent when I think about brewing my own beer (especially if the beer is drinkable) - very likely I will end up looking/drinking like him

I shall have a look out.
