Maniax Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Thanks for the feedback. We made some changes to the Banana socks in regards to the construction of the sock. Previously our Banana socks had a double layered cuff (part on the leg) and we've now changed it to a single layer. Through the testing on our side the change didn't have an effect on the quality of the socks. I've sent you a DM to discuss this. We strive to produce socks that are of a high quality and take this up as a serious matter.I 2nd the single layer. Double layer banana socks is a bit warm around the cuffs. Great for winter but I couldnt really enjoy them over the summer months.
justanotherbiker Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Durability is still as good as on our double cuff socks and the sock still stays in place We had to look into the option of a single layer cuff as the double layer posed some challenges for our manufacturers when running production in high quantities. Also some clients got back to us and complained about the sock being too difficult to put on (something which the single layer solves). After we've done testing, and saw that the single layer doesn't have an effect on the durability of the socks, we decided that the single layer option is the way to go. Thanks for everyone's inputs so far! I must say that comparing the Versus socks to other high quality cycling socks shows the Versus socks to be particularly good. I bought some Fox socks with extensive mention of technology and this and that. The biggest XL size is like fitting on a size 4-7 sock, maybe smaller. No elasticity. I wanted the orange colour and luckily the price was not steep.
