Total bicycle weight: 8.45kg

What makes it that heavy? The disc wheels?

total distance ~50km

total cumulative altitude gain ~0m

total effect of bike weight ~0%

Why dont they make the rear wheel sit more snug behind the seat tube.

The rules say:

A fairing shall be defined as the use or adaptation of a component of the bicycle in such a fashion that it encloses a moving part of the bicycle such as the wheels or the chainset. Therefore it should be possible to pass a rigid card (like a credit card) between the fixed structure and the moving part.

A clarification says:

If the seat tube mirrors the curve of the wheel it must not enclose it. It must be possible to insert a credit card between the tube and the wheel as shown by the illustrations below.

So the rules require a gap, but yes, that gap is huge compared to what is required.

Personaly i think Jensie will klap the record....

Klap being relative to the magnitude of the task....50 kmh for one hour...eish the mind boggles. Just try ride at that speed alone for 10 seconds on your next ride starting from 0 on a flat road...flip i wont even be able to reach that speed never mind maintain it for 10 seconds

its hard

In the final race of the Summer League on Saturday at HNP

with all the Europcar elite riders we only managed an average speed of 40.5 km/h for 15 km.

To do that for 50 km is just crazy
