Falco Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Just passed the scene of another car vs bike incident on Old Pretoria in Midrand. Looks like the car jumped a light. Not sure if the cyclist was a commuter or recreational rider, doesn't really make a difference imo. The car had stopped and paramedics were on scene, the rider wasn't moving, hope he's going to be OK.

Long Wheel Base Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Argh. Hope he comes away ok. Wish we could come up with a solution to changing the mindset of some of our drivers. Seeing how motorists treat cyclist on narrow European roads is amazing. There are a lot more of them that show respect.

Fellow cyclists on this forum can't change their mindsets in the face of rational argument, what are the chances that the average man on the street will be willing to entertain a different viewpoint and make the associated tolerant change of behaviour??
