rudi-h Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Well said D2s. ...what you did ...you did at the time to be competitive. ...it's still like that ...not just in cycling ...in everyday life ...business , work etc ...what bosses have to do to land contracts so that we can have a job...etc ...it's all around us ...that is the real world ...I have no problem with what you did ....I'm guilty of some sh*t I did when I had my business ..but had I played fair, I would have been eaten by my competitors...and this is life ...the playing field....it's never level.. no my friend, the real world is not all corrupt, screwed up and full of cheats. there are lots of good people out there living a decent fair and honest life.

I have no respect for the okes who blew the whistle on Lance, they only did it cos they were caught. None of them, Lance, Dope 2 Survive etc is willing to blow the whistle on the PED's support structures, For the love of me, is Dr Ferrari the only other non-cyclist involved in doping? who are the others? Integrity, or fair play, is never negotiable. Thus I have to disagree with you. In business and in every day life, sustainable results are only achieved through acting with integrity. I whish I could say the same for our sport . . .
Vega Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Here is my (naïve) approach on what has been discussed: I will continue training and racing clean. I will assume that each competitor I race against do the same, even when I know this is not true. However, I WILL NOT USE THE ACTIONS OF DOPERS AS AN EXCUSE TO DOPE! I hope that in time my family and friends will respect me for making the honourable choice, even if it means I never make the podium.
