The Wedding Present did Hit Parade 1 and 2 where they released a 7" every month for a year with a b side that was a cover. They eventually released them in the two albums hit parade 1 and 2. I rec kon I could post almost every cover cos they are superb...but since twin peaks season 3 is coming up...

ok..I think this is a first for this thread...the same artist (Elvis Costello) covering their own song.....and the second version is SIGNIFICANTLY better

 

so - 1984 produced the ghastly deportees club which is so bad its not even on youtube (you can find it here - http://www.juno.co.uk/products/elvis-costello-the-goodbye-cruel-world-reissue/591256-01/)

 

and 1995 the album "goodbye cruel world" was re-released with an extra track which was the deportees club reworked and with new title called deportee - its beautiful
