The stats show that JN stopped for an aggregate of 7hrs 40 ( GN 8:39 and counting) I would be surprised if did not find some kip in that time. Perhaps his strategy is short well interspersed catnaps. More telling is moving the time average speed of GN 20.4 km/hr vs JN's 19.5 km/hr.  With that GU can getting at least 1 hours more sleep than JN.

Where are you seeing those stats? sounds very interesting, I love looking at data.

Click on the full history for the rider and a new page opens, most of this is in a block on the bottom right.

Just a little inside info... if the marker for a rider becomes see-through, it's likely they are sleeping, or at the very least sitting very very still. That's the tracker pretty much in 'sleep mode' to save battery life... any small vibration and it kicks back into life.

was wondering how a battery would last 5 days.

So if you a heavy snorer it never sleeps.
