The driver of this truck just stopped on hennie Alberts str just before the zenex garage and assaulted another man on a bicycle. He stopped his car blocking the... guy on the bicycle got out screaming and punched the guy in the face ! UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL I WOULD LIKE TO NAME AND SHAME YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS AS MY CHILDREN HAD TO WITNESS YOUR BEHAVIOUR AS A GROWN MAN YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!post-12678-0-41406200-1417068173_thumb.jpg

And here is the bonehead comment :
Andre Ehlers A bit one sided is it not? In my experience cyclists are assholes so I would bet the cyclist provoked the driver of the bakkie. Still no excuse for the behaviour but only shallow people would act on incomplete info. And that is exactly.what is wrong with the world. Knee jerk reactions without all the info at hand. If the above is the case can we also "name and shame" the cyclist? His family should know how big a dick he is if he acted like .... well, a cyclist.

Andre Ehlers, you are BONEHEAD of the week! :cursing:

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to ask whether you drive a little wimp trokkie! Size matters you know. Would you take on the driver of an 18 wheeler? Or just pick on defenseless and vulnerable cyclists?

He's got a gun as his "facebook" cover photo... I have lots of friends and family with guns but jinne, advertising it like that (?)

this probably could have been a lot worse if this dipsh*t got his 9mm out.

Be careful out there people!! I know it's not always easy but just be the bigger person - you don't know the guy/gal confronting you from a bar of soap, you don't know what they are capable of, their frame of mind OR what they may be "packing"

Just "smile and wave" (as many a post/thread this week suggest you do)

So true. Some guys have no value for life and will happily just pull out a gun or a kinfe. Really not worth it for a shouting match or trying to prove a point.

JEESH, And its not even Friday....

So we have people attacking the charcater of "bonehead" Andre because of hes has a picture of a gun and a quad on his FB...

I'm not defending anyone here, but his comments do have a ring of truth to them....  maybe that's the real reason for the ensuing character assasination by the cyclists on the hub  :whistling:

Could the cyclist not possibly have been in the wrong too?

And to his credit, Andre does say that there was "still no excuse for the behaviour", and there is obvioulsy more to the story than we know.

after this "In my experience cyclists are assholes" this "And to his credit, Andre does say.." does not apply.

So tired of this.

So much agro.

Far too much ego on all sides.

After the Dungeon Lady / Little Timmy Truluck episode earlier this week, I made a point of being extra nice to everybody using the Spruit yesterday. And to a man (and woman), people smiled and waved as I rode past. Utopian? Yes, but it's better than being either the smacker or the smackee in some unnecessary altercation.

Not saying this scenario would have, or could have, played out in this instance, but wouldn't it have been nice if it did. Nicer than a punched face, anyway.

He should try that with a Taxi driver.
