Finally complete! It took a while to get everything together, but I must say she looks stellar!

My possesion for the best part of 3 months allready, and all I can say, its a true one-bike quiver. I have had a few "incidents" in the mean time, all while I feel like I am Jared Graves!  Sadly, I am not.

Climbing is exceptional, and the Switch Infinity makes the bike bite into steep rocky sections like I have never felt before.  We all know the talents of the Pike knows no end, so that coupled with the rear suspension, lets this bike rip down the singletrack.  There are a number of reasons why this bike is raking in the bike of the Year Awards from EnduroMag, Velonews, Vital MTB...

Consider this: 140mm travel fork, 35mm stanchions, beefy 950gram 2.3" Vigilante upfront, 127mm rear (yes, that extra 2mm is important!), dropper seatpost and all of this in a package weighing only 10.9kg with pedals... yes please!

  • Yeti SB5c Raw Carbon Small
  • Rockshox Pike Solo Air 140mm
  • XTR M9000 Race Brakes
  • Front: WTB Vigilante 2.3", Hope Pro2 EVO, ZTR Arch 650b, 180mm Ice-Tech rotor
  • Rear: WTB Wolverine 2.2", Hope Pro2 EVO, ZTR Arch 650b, 160mm Ice-Tech rotor
  • Race Face Next 35mm carbon handlebar Turquoise
  • Race Face Turbine 35 70mm stem
  • Chris King Headset Turquoise (obviously)
  • XTR M9000 1x11 drivetrain
  • Race Face Next SL Carbon 170mm cranks Turquoise
  • Chris King PF30 Bottom Bracket Turquoise (obviously)
  • Giant Switch Connect Internal Cable Dropper
  • Fizik Gobi Saddle
  • Custom decals from Slik Graphics in real Yeti Turquoise for the Pike and the rims

Shoutout to Colin & Jared from Yeti South Africa.  They are great to deal with, and pulled a rabbit out to make this happen!

Stellar ride!

May I ask why you didn't go with the electronic groupo?

Sure!  You couldn't (and still can't) find the electro groupo anywhere... Really the oldschool shifting is perfect, shimano is the bomb!  Even if I wanted to, the bike budget is in sy mo%$r...

that is one seriously nice looking bike...got me a little bit jealous if i must be honest. Hope you enjoy it and have many good rides on it. If you're ever in CT give me a shout, would love to see that beauty in person.

Fantastic bike!!!

Apart from the $$$ why no CK hubs? that sound would have been killer on the trails.

True! $$ was an issue, and also the Turquoise ChrisKing was limited edition, and all I could find was the BB & headset in turquoise, so that made my decision MUCH easier! New Hope EVOs are crazy good too, apparently less maintenance, and 40tooth engagement...
