Garmin Fenix 3

Has anyone had issue with the F3 losing distance traveled during an activity? this has now happened on 3 separate occasions, either during a long trail run or an OCR event.

The map shows the route traveled but not the pace or distance. Highly frustrating trying to track progress or mileage on my gear.

With all the hassles I am hearing about the Fenix 3, I am even happier with my FR235, does what I want with minimal issues.

Ok do I've manually updated the watch as per instructions but it still keeps asking for an update. Any idea what else I can do?

What happens if you ignore/delete the update? Do you still get asked to update.

Had a similar issue a few months back and the above sorted it out.

Something to do with the update file getting stuck in your Garmin Connect App...

You are basically ignoring/deleting the update you have already done, so not missing out anything

I've just upgraded my phone to Android 9/Pie. Now I can't connect via Bluetooth. Anyone else experienced the same?

We were camping in Richards Bay this past weekend, and went for a swim in the harbour. After a while I got out and parked off under the shade, only to realize I had lost my watch! Ran back to the spot where I swam and found a piece of the strap that had broken off. Watch was gone.. Went into the water and started feeling around with my toes, no luck.. Then after searching for 10 mins, in chin deep water, I found it!!! Was flippen lucky to get it back

LOL, a mate of mine said the exact same thing! Watch isn't insured, so would've had to fork out 7k+ for a new Fenix 5. And I'm more than happy with the 3..

What concerns me though is this aftermarket strap that broke so easily. I can't remember where I bought it from, I think it was Takealot. Will rather pay a few Rand more and look for a genuine Garmin strap

Get the bars so you can run it on a NATO strap... will never lose it.

Ja man these garmin straps are moer expensive but they last. I insured my watch tho, little less of a worry if something like this should happen. Glad you found it.
