Mr X Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I can see a very big orange glow above the mountains it has flared up again big time. Edit: I can now see very big flames on the border of Lourensford, it is looking very bad.
HSW Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Seems like it flared up again on the left hand side when facing Jonkershoek. Can smell the smoke, but it the wind seems to be a bit calmer at the moment.

dev null Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Yes, I woke in the middle of the night for a tinkle and saw the line of flames coming over the saddle in the mountains above Lourensford. So it is now well and truly here in the basin. The SE is predicted to die down later today and then turn NW tomorrow. Then it will really get interesting.
