Contemplating also dropping back to "I" group, to take advantage of this "BikeHub lead out train" that is forming so nicely.

Seeded in C, but that is a bridge too far for me this year, I feel.

I'll be blown off the back of that group like a dandelion in a hurricane.

Come on Stevie, get on board. We're all doing the 94.7 conga!

The "I Team": proof that there is, in fact, an 'I' in 'team'.

I have been reading this FRED for the last week or so...and your train forming so nicely :w00t:  sounds like an awesome idea...seeded in group F at the moment, but my starting skill of a race is almost non-existent and normally struggle for the first 10 to 15 kilometres to stick to the group, not sure if I will be able to hang on to you guys to the end of M2.

Did Fast One in 2h59, Emperor's in 2h48 and Kremetart 175km's in 5h27   do you think it's possible to hang on to an "A" group train for the sub-3 experience? :whistling:

Emperors in 2h48? You are more than qualified! Please join us, I need the help :).

---------------

There seems to be concern from some folks that I'm going to set some kind of mad pace and blow everyone away.

Firstly, my thanks to them for the vote of confidence in my (so called) abilities. But I'm really not that good. I'm certainly not a Spinnekop or Patch or Rastaman.

Secondly, folks must remember that I'm joining the guys in 'I' to help! That means the last thing I want to do is drop anyone or anything like that. We'll wait for each other on the hills, then get into a pace line and ramp the pace up steadily so that no-one has to deal with any sudden accelerations. If I'm going too fast for some, then just tell me and I'll back off. If someone falls off the pace, I'll see if I can go back and get them, try and bring them back to the group again in my slipstream.

If it takes time for some folks to get warmed up in the first 20 km, no problem. We'll give you time to get warmed up. We're going to be there to work for each other.

For me, I'm there to have fun and to try and help fellow Hubbers, and meet some good people in the process. Too many times I've pitched up at races on my ais, chased wheels blindly all day, got to the finish line and put my bike in the car and gone home and not had a single decent conversation with anyone around me (who can in a road race?).

This time I get to feel part of a team for the first time in my life, where I'll be working for the goals of others. I've watched road racing on the telly for 20+ years and never had that team experience myself - always just raced for myself.

And you know what, I'm actually getting seriously excited about 94.7 this year because of this whole 'I Team' thing. It's really got me revved up and I can't wait to do it now. I think it's going to be such a jol! If you don't reach your target, well at least we got to meet each other and have major some fun along the way. And if I help you to beat your target, then even more of a bonus!

I have to agree, the I Team has gotten me excited too.

On a side note, I Team makes it sound like we were runners up in an A Team impersonator contest...haha

Come on Bud, You know you want to. Think of it as some good samaritan work, come help Hayley, myself and the rest of the "I" TEAM reach a sub 3 for the 1st time.

That was the intention. Recreational enthusiast whom want to experience the life of the "A / Pro" Team.

Here's the link again for those whom wish to reshuffle the spreadsheet a bit. 18 so far, even if half are in the team, that make us the size of a TDF team

There is no I in team, but....there is an I in meat-pie, so don't be the I in the pie....

So I am not going to go race some DH and enduro this weekend anymore (shoulder cant pick up that weight yet), so I will be in the Cradle this weekend working on some miles to be able to stick with the I-team...(yes, will also stop taking Tramecet tonight.)

Anyone wanting to join for some time in the Cradle this weekend or next, let me know...
