TheKaiser Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 If it's not too bad try getting the allen key in with a bit of steel wool. Press real hard and try turn it out... If that doesn't work try a piece of inner tube and give it a bash.

V12man Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 The other thing you can try before destructive methods is to wedge a small flat screwdriver in next to the alan key - tap it tight with a hammer - may mean sacrificing the alan key and screwdriver. also you can try glueing the alan key in with quickset epoxy. if those dont work - left handed drill...should turn it out or make a hole for an easy out

bertusras Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Why not use a thread extractor? Drill a small pilot hole, put in your thread extractor and reverse the direction. Works for stripped bolt heads.
