They allow this to happen and do nothing to show that violent protests are not going to be tolerated. Period! There needs to be serious punishment for those that break the law and more importantly the spirit of a strike/protest. For as long a we do not SERIOUSLY punish any and all proponents of violence at these "protests" violence will prevail. Unfortunately in SA we need to enforce the law not pussyfoot around. Well that is what happens elsewhere.

The situation has got worse with the Record reporting that David has been suspended and evicted from his house (which is in Groenkloof and which he rents as per contract). David is a fellow triathlete (Ironman) trail runner and mtbker (transbaviaans), who has improved the Tswane nature reserves (Groenkloof, Rietvlei, Klapperkop ext ext) for over a decade. We all OWE David support in this time. His suspension does not bode well for mtbking and trail running in Pretoria. It is time our community unite on this issue. Do what you can to support him and his family and get his reinstatement. Please keep this thread alive until David is back. (Spidy can you change the title to Reinstate David or Save Groenkloof))
