Wolfie1 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Hi guys Is it just me or was the trails flooded yesterday?I did a loop yesterday .....b-spot, Bloemendaaler, Conters and Meerendal and for some reason everywhere i went the trails where flooded with riders.Could it be from some of the trails in the western cape that could be closed from all the fires?Its good to see that people love the trails in the Tygerberg area!

Quantum Theory Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I did Hillcrest and Conties. I parked at Hillcrest and didn't see many people, that was until I reached Contermans... It was properly busy. Never seen it quite like that.

Skubarra Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Last sunday afternoon I was on Contermanskloof and Bloemendal, not a single soul on the trails.... Till I crested Tygerberg Hill and saw 1000's of people far below at the Epic finale on Meerendal...

Pappa Bear Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 When I reached the top of Dorstberg (Meerendal) there was about 20 other cyclist! Trails are getting quite busy with the closure of J and T. Did manage to see a rooikat aswell!

Both descents are absolutely epic, in their different ways, but the Cobra is my absolute favourite. You have to hit all the jumps though and do it as fast as you can.

Wolfie1 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Just hope that all the day visitors are paying at honesty boxesI caught 4 youngsters on Sunday going up the corridor from Meerendal side to Conters...Needless to say two of them were members, the other two of which one was sporting his green board and the other nothing and yet they claimed to have paid... I politely escorted them down to where they came from and they had to find their way home. Sorry but rules are rules..... So yes i hope that all the day visitors keep with the rules of the club...
