I can also advertise OUT OF STOCK ITEMS at that price. Why don't you order and have it delivered by say Wed morning?

Amazing that people still fall for bait and switch from CRC...

They did exactly the same with XTR before launch.

Let's see when it is ACTUALLY available what you will pay.

My 2 c - but please - support the Irish.

I got baited, I ordered, as long as I wait I will pay the price that is on CRC now.

So where is the switch?

I think of it like a pre-order discount.

Hi guys

what how where does the "50mm or 53mm chain line?" come into place? Don't know which one I need.

G

I have also asked this, as well if a new BB is needed for the axle.

Seems if that info is not available . . . .

If replacing on an existing bike then measure from centreline of your frame's seat tube to the centre of the chainring teeth (on a 1x) or middle ring if a 3x drivetrain or the midpoint between chainrings on 2x systems.

thanks thanks.

now this is going on a new frame that i don't have access yet.

currently the guys know SRAM, can I get them to measure this distance on the SRAM setup and use same measurement for the Shimano, makes sense to me.

from what I understand the wider chain line is only applicable to new bikes with the 142+ rear axle spacing

so 50mm chain line for 142/135/qr,and 53mm fo 142+

142+ is the new fangle one thats wider than 142

The frame builder will (should) state what the chainline on the frame is if you just ask them. Has nothing to do with whether it's Shimano or SRAM. I would guess most likely to be 50mm.

Would actually be nice to get someone from Shimano SA online here to answer all these questions...

Let me see.

some innovate and others just follow, the ship has sailed on all this already just look at the sram xx1 threads very similar questions.

Im riding on the 36T front, the 32T has its down sides if you riding flat stuff most of the time.

So can imagine the 36T give nice big ring front for long flat stage riding, but prob gonna hurt when you start pointing the front wheel upwards.

As you say the 32T might be to small, why not then middle ground then, a 34T ?

or... how simple would it be to change the ring between a 32, 34 and 36 on the front crank.

I'm no expert but I reckon a 32 and a 34 would work for most mere mortals, pretty easy to change,

As an aside, me I'm too lazy to chop and change so just use a 32. Did the Winter Fast One with that and had no issues but I am not 'fast' by any stretch of the imagination.
