What you worried about, I chose Kelderman, he has lost so much time in the GC that all hopes of him getting a top 10 is almost gone, but then again he might change his ambitions because of this and go for the Polka jersey, so what to do, Keep him and hope he goes for the KOM or sub him? Much harder chose than ditching a sprinter when the road turns uphill.

I've got him too, Scott. Keep him, he's still a good pick - but now for other reasons than GC.

There's still the KOM and and also lots of White jersey points for him to win once we get into the mountains from week 2.

From what I can see, he's not injured, so can still make some aggressive riding to gain back time and when he goes for the polka dot jersey. Remember that Breakaway and Most Aggressive get huge points in this system, so he might just do well for us.

Same with Pinot - he can still earn good points in the second half of the TDF, even if he's no longer in contention for GC.

What's up with Louis Meintjies (Maincheese)? I hope he shapes better in the mountains than he has on the flats! He's letting me down - maybe time to sub him on Monday.

The mountains are here, now the points are put upside down from today.

No mountains yet - still the 'Classics' type racing for the next few days. The first mountain stage is only Stage 10.

So we'll see the same faces on the front today: Kwiatkowski, Van Avermaet, Vanmarke, Sagan, Stybar, etc.

See course profile below for stage 6 today: lumpy with short punchy climbs for the powerful classics guys, not for the mountain goats.

Today might even be perfect for a breakaway to stay away.

But my bet is on Sagan to take the win on that final sprint up the small 900m climb (@7%) to the finish line.

???

He was never supposed to feature in the first week - he's not built for those stages.

The second half of the TDF is where he's going to shine - which is exactly when you want him in your team.

After the massive stage 3 crash this is the latest on him,

Wilco Kelderman was seriously hampered by the back injury he sustained in the third stage on Monday. “I was struggling with my back. I really couldn’t push as I wanted to. I was wrestling on my bike and felt pain all the time. I don’t hope it’s too bad, but it doesn’t feel good.”

But there is still a long race ahead so for now he will stay in my team, as mentioned before, there are still other things to aim for other than the GC. I can quite easily see him attacking in the hills like his team-mate Steven did in the Grio, and who knows with Ryder also 10min down he might join the Lotto-Jumbo rider too.

I have Pinot on the bench. My only hope is he lose so much time that they will let him go in one of the stages.

watch him on KOM, his GC dreams are over, reckon polka will be his target, maybe a stage win on Bastille day...who knows

Could be that he has lost time on purpose so that he does not get chased down by gc and white jersey contenders if he goes for break to win on mountain stage.

Stage finish

0.5 point per rider if your chosen riders cross the finish line and are classified as a finisher. Today is a FLAT stage, with a rating 1/6.

GC Classification

The GC leader (in yellow) gets 0.1 * No. of Riders that finish the stage, i.e. 186 * 0.1 = 18.6. Everyone else gets points based on their time relative to the leader's time. The formula to calculate the points is as follows:

{(1-(((RiderTime/LeaderTime)-1)*10))*Riders*BETA}, where:

·         RiderTime          Rider’s current overall race time

·         LeaderTime       Current race leader’s overall race time

·         Riders                number of riders completing the stage

·         BETAYellow          0.1

Young Rider Classification

The White jersey leader gets 0.7 * No. of Riders that finish the stage, i.e. 31 * 0.7 = 21.7 points. Everyone else gets points based on their time relative to the leader's time. The formula to calculate the points is as follows:

{(1-(((RiderTime/LeaderTime)-1)*10))*Riders*BETA}, where:

·         RiderTime           Rider’s current overall race time

·         LeaderTime        Current race leader’s overall race time

·         Riders                  number of riders completing the stage

·         BETAWhite            0.7

Most Aggressive

Due to the 1/6 rating for today’s stage, the Most Aggressive rider will score 50 points.

Team Classification

Points are awarded to the top 4 teams at the end of the stage. Points available are as follows:

7 – 4 – 2 – 1

Bonus Points

1 point is awarded if one or more of your riders is wearing one of the category jerseys, i.e. Yellow, White or Green, as well as the Best Team. If a rider wins more than one jersey, the less important jersey is worn by the next rider on the standing (this rider does not qualify to score points).

Breakaway

10 points per rider in the break.

50 points for every rider in the break that finishes ahead of the peloton.

Daily Prize

Everyone that picked the leader in the WHITE jersey at the end of the stage will go into the draw for today’s prize.

ouch....I have nibali, grivko and kristoff on the bench

dropping cav fo sure, don't know if I should drop sagan.

Nibali is thankfully in my team at the moment. Did I mention Dekengolb is my 3rd sub............

Stick with Sagan, if I remember he does get better through the tour. Then again I may be sowing some seeds of discord

Oh deary me, will have to see how he does over the next couple of days.

im in the same boat with Matthews, will he recover ? Don t think so and what ever pain he feels now will be even worse once they hit the mountains so sub selection is very important as there s a good chance the injured riders could pull out next week.

The weird part is that on after Tuesday's cobbled Stage 4 he was quoted as saying:

“My legs were so strong that I suddenly passed everyone,”  “It was surprising to see that things were going so easily for me on the cobblestones. I haven’t ridden on cobbles a lot, but I like it. Perhaps that’s why it went this good.”

Maybe he's pulling a Purito here. Only time will tell I guess
