When you need to remove your chainring from your knee cap, get up in a daze ride down mountain with no right side brake cracked helmet and 3 broken figures . When your mates ask if you ok, sure just a scratch. Had to go to a 40th after ride could not walk for 3 days LOL

When the doc was finished cleaning/scrubbing:

Was riding pretty recklessly without enough protection at the Cascades Endoro, had a proper off into some rocks or stumps

Not actually feeling too bad today .... yet

Glad you are ok - looks like you hooked up on a branch or rock or something - called a degloving type injury - should be fine in a  couple of weeks unless you get an infection.

Heal up soon.

thanks man, unfortunately muscle damage as well as degloving, but yeah it shouldn't be too long if I avoid infection

Lucky you don't have any broken bones too - ah well - you are still young.... it should heal up fine - takes a lot of force to achieve that - a bruise or two is to be expected as well - at a bare minimum.

Oh, and you're a pillock for riding like a pillock without any pads.

Yep, will invest in some proper protection and actually wear it in the future

I actually have no memory of what happened, just that when I got up there was blood streaming out of the cut in my nose. It was only after getting my bike out of the trail and something on my nose that I saw the arm

It's only a doctor that can look at that and say "Meh, not too bad, will heal up soon"!!!

Looks freaking painful to me.

Oi, those pics. I recon even with elbow pads you would not have got off Scot free, but they would have helped a bit...
