I feel for your situation but really dude. Stop bitching and have a custom paint job done.

Not sure I agree. It is evident that color was an important consideration in the purchase decision. The consumer has not actually got what he wanted an paid for. A refund should be offered and allow the consumer to then make the decision. That's just good business.

Disagreeing does not make you right. It merely makes you wrong.

If you choose not to believe me, have a look at an experienced commercial lawyer's take on the issue on the first page of this thread.

And no, it is not good business, it would be suicidal. The cost of keeping each model, in each size, in each colour variation for the duration of the warrantee period would have to be added to the purchase price, thus pricing the frame out of the market.

I suppose with one breaking already you'd do everything in your power to make sure the warranty is sorted.

This is an interesting topic. I agree with the OP. He has been hard done by, but you have to feel for Omnico. If they don't have an identical frame, then they don't have one.

The test I would imagine is the lengths they have gone to to keep their customer happy. Apparently they are trying to source another one locally. Surely they can look overseas. You cannot tell me that Cannondale in the USA don't have something similar.

Maybe this one will also break after a few months and you will be on a different colour frame again.

I had this issue many years ago with a CAAD 3 road frame. Cannondale had massive issues late'90's early 2000 with paint that would bubble after a few months.

At one stage I went through 3 frames in 1 year..

I agree with the Matt Black, looks really nice, but doesnt stand up to daily abuse too well.

Good luck.

Either way Cannondale is a great product and you wont be disappointed in their service.

I wanted a red Caad3 and could only get a blue frame.Red was for Saeco Team frames.

Second time it bubbled and peeled it was sent for a re-spray and was done in red with yellow decals

I know and decided to go ahead in any case. When I suffer on those climbs I prefer it to be on a bike that I like...that gives me a boost. :) Different strokes I guess.

I also had a bad experience with cannondale (omnico). Just before epic the mechanic found a crack in the frame and said I would not be able to ride the bike like it is. Phoned omnico and explained I need a replacement frame and was told they can't send me a frame(20km away from the shop) I then told them I would come fetch it and was turned down again. They told me they would send a frame for me by day 2 of the race and had to make way with borrowed frames from different people till day six when we got a frame witch we had to go fetch. 3frames one epic one bust knee.

I feel your pain.

I am still waiting for my frame issue to be resolved by Omnico. (GT)

It is 11 weeks tomorrow, and all I can say about them is that they are extremely unprofessional and their customer service/feedback is almost non existent.

So they did not need to replace the entire frame - just the swing arm. @furbz I am beginning to see things your way, lol.

The anal retentive in me wants to bitch at the colour mismatch. The realist says wtf, its a MTB not Noritake.
