Stretch Posted August 2, 2019 Share https://www.thehour.co.za/ This looks pretty cool. I've followed similar type events in the States (usually where Dauwalter and that other crazy dude (Johan someone) own it.) You run 6km on the hour, every hour, for as long as you can....If you sustain for 25hrs... You will do a 100 Miller
Hacc Posted August 7, 2019 Share I have entered all 4 Vitality series events for the first time this year. I am going to use them as my long run training for Kaapse Hoop. Which one is the easiest? Old Eds, Wanderers, Adrienne Hersch (Randburg Harriers) or Gerald Fox? Lexx

Which one is the easiest? Old Eds, Wanderers, Adrienne Hersch (Randburg Harriers) or Gerald Fox? Personally My Favourite is Wanderers, but I now run for them so I can no longer run it. From a Difficulty point of view none are flat but Wanderers and Old Eds are similar in Vertical ascent/difficulty. Id say Gerald Fox is a little more hilly than those 2. Adrienne Hersh is the toughest course of the 4 by far. Andrew Steer and Hacc

Ronniek Posted August 10, 2019 Share Was thinking of this on my long run this morning. 2018 I went through three pairs of takkies. At 2800 ront per pair this running is not as cheap as what we would like to make it out to be. Especially once you start adding in stuff like accommodation for the races, flights car rentals [emoji30] Lexx and seven
Let's Ride Posted August 11, 2019 Share Does any body have any links or suggestions for strength training? Realise with just running my body gets sore. Went to gym today and instead of running did the controlled weights circuit and then ran home. Also started stretching more often. Right knee often gets sore after a run. Lexx Posted August 11, 2019 Share Buy a TRX. It helps a lot with strength and balance. And its cheaper than going to the gym.

Is pretty insane, but wasn't quite as far as that. Laps for the runners were just on 5kms As I know Ian who was 2nd runner did exactly 100 miles - 160kms and that was 32 laps. So Bennie closer to 185kms. See the top 3 cyclists all got to 60hours - 60 laps - 600kms and then had to do a Speed lap to decide the winner which turned into a 3 way sprint finish at 7pm last night. Insane Rumour has it there might be a similar event in October nearer Delta Park side. Andrew Steer, Chris_ and Barry Stuart

Andrew Steer Posted August 12, 2019 Share Any feedback on the Old Eds race?Things went pretty smooth from our side, but always keen to get input and see where we can perhaps improve... Looking forward to Wanderers, always nicer to be running Even if very slowly
