Let's Ride Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 I train with some dedicated, talented runners and I can see how hard they have train to maintain sub 90min 21km timesAnd that includes longer weekend runsI managed a 1 40 half marathon with honestly not loads of training. Run twice a week with my club doing 10km's and then sometimes a weekend run. My foot was stuffed post race as my longest run before the half was the 10km run's.  Started running less than a year ago so it is doable.Â
Let's Ride Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 A huge congrats to any runner who does the comrades. Such an achievement. Jaws677 1
SwissVan Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 Yolande Maclean, I remember speaking to her long ago and finding out who she was (!) and she was 7 or 8 golds from as many races. She wanted to get 10 and then call it a day. No idea where or who she runs for.  She came in 11th lady today....Running for Murray and Roberts i think

Jaws677 Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 Wow what and amazing race. At 70km my legs where up so I slowed down and soaked up the atmosphere, enjoying the last 18km with a comfortable pace. Got a Robert Mtshali with 9:37 so still super stoked as I know I did everything I could have I gave it my best it just wasn't meant to be today. Ronniek, Rowl, candz1 and 9 others 12
