The problem is that the group is registered as a cycling group. So the leaderboard only shows cycling related info. That is why I suggested a new The Hub running group.

Yep i'm on the comrades group and using the free strava version.

I can see my activities runs, cycles etc..

If i look at the weeks leader board my runs don't seem to register... all tho i only ran once (8km) this week i should still be near the bottom... name does appear on the member list.

Same for Andrew Steer, never see him on the weekly board but he is listed on the member list.

My runs were all locked for some reason... they should pop up heading forward. Ran very little since Soweto and dragged my bum around the 94.7 yesterday. Hoping to do Tough One on Sunday, but have a little family wedding to negotiate my way through on Saturday first. It's my wife's twin-sisters big day - chances of coming out unscathed and up for a tough race are 50/50 the optimist in me says

I hate this time of year, you feel tired of working and have no real motivation to train as there are no "big" races around (Tough One used to be my last one for the year)

I had a bad 94.7... Stupid me didn't realize my back brake was touching my wheel, and I only thought of stopping after 36km.... Couldn't figure out why I was struggling up every climb.

Had a valoid half way and just survived for the rest of the way.

Anyway, I have completed my 9th one consecutively.

I will be taking it easy for the next two weeks while on meds. My obvious question to the doctor was can I train while being on antibiotics? He said yes, as long as I am not overdoing it.

So I will definitely not be on the leaderboard for kms trained in the next two weeks...

Lekka that you got the 94.7 done! Sometimes you have those rides and as much as you feel cheated now, you look back on them and they are often the bigger memory for some strange reason!

Best you're not on the leaderboard for the next fortnight then!!!!

Haaahaha, almost my story on Argus this year. My rear brake locked completely at a crash - the ine Shunter got hurt in. Did not realise it since it was uphill just after that and... simply couldn't climb! Found the issue when I stopped in Houtbaai and saw my rear wheel dragging! But it was so tight   I could not loosen it, went halfway up Suikerbossie to the mechanic stand I hoped was still there - and even that guy struggled to loosen it. Rest of Suikerbossie was a breeeeze! But gatvol by then and just had a jol on the way down, staying well wide of kamikazes down 12 Apostles and the run-in...

I don't know what is going on with me, but I am TIRED.  Cannot get up in the morning, cannot keep my eyes open.   I need to pull my finger.

I only had bad experiences at Argus... The first year I rode was in 2009, known as "the windy" year. I got blown off my MTB bike three times and I weighed 15kg more than what I weigh now... finished in 6 hours 48 minutes. I was walking down Chappies because of the wind.

In 2012 I was well prepared, flew all the way down. I got really sick the day before the race and decided not to ride. That year there was no wind and it was perfect riding conditions...

In 2013 I trained hard and wanted to redeem myself from the 2009 results. I took my bike for a service a week before Argus. (Won't mention the LBS's name...) Had a good ride up to Smitswinkel, when my gears stopped working. I stopped and my rear gear cable snapped. I freed to the mechanical tent where they couldn't really help me. I ended up with ONE gear, I still had to go up Chappies and Suikerbossie. (I have new respect for guys doing races on a single speed)

I want to do Argus again, it is just too expensive to go down for Argus and OMTOM.

Glad to hear I am not the only one!

Looking forward to the December holidays. Sleeping late and then go running ( I don't mind the heat training)
