Last year the winds were active especially around Woodstock. The next day it was calm! 

The same happened for the Stellenbosch Cycle Tour. 

No-one can predict winds in Cape Town.

But to say that it will blow like hell would be a good guess.

I would say if you in any of the "1" groups you'd be in the 5min slower than winner to 3:10 category

 

Anything in the "2" you're in the 2:55 to 3:45 category.

To go below 3hours from any "2" you need a lot to work in your favour:

Find other riders of similar ability quickly

Go with the breaks
