Besides the obvious that the bike is heavier, so climbing is far more challenging, there's the dynamic of both riders being in sync with one another. A little bit of an art to it getting that right and if you pull if off, well then there's few chaps to stay on your wheel when you are gunning the downhills or powering the flats!

There was this one year where he was struggling up chappies, only to look back and see his wife taking pictures..lol. Apparently if your marriage can survive a tandem it can survive anything.
